My Website

My idea for the website was given to me by a video game of which i have spent alot of time playing, so using the knowledge and images i could find i placed all i knew into the website to show what the game has and what you can do thus premoting the website to who ever comes across my website.

Knowing the fact that i know people that play the game with their own personal made characters  personalised weapons and other such things of wich is unique to that person

we decided to add basic info of a normal person and some info to do with the game such as name rank and best hunt.

To help people viewing the website understand the game more i put in pictures and information on some of the creatures they will face in game in almost every level through out the game aswell as some information which can help you track and hunt them if needed in a quest (misson), the pictures can also help the people viewing the website how to tell two apart which happens in the game.

 To give the players an edge in the game insted of them spending endless hours of gaming to find out the combo's i placed a combo list for each type of weapon attached with stats character images aswell as advantages and disadvantages, overall the website is to give player the chance up upload their characters and talk with fellow players and to have as much fun as possible.

DreamWeaver demo

Using dream weaver i have been able to use an idea for a website and put it into action aswell as experiment with diffrent aspects of the idea and try other i may have using the process. Using this iv created a sample site where the original file where all the saved files have to go in order for the site to work. By selecting a target tool i dragged it where i would likem it to link me to in the page area of my choice so ifi i were to sample the my page on the internet clicking the selected link would take me to a diffrent page.

Here is a GIF image and is good for compressing simple images such as logos. For example one option here is to change how many colours there area in the image. So to make a smaller file size while keeping the block colour you just simply turn down how many colours the image produces. At first i chose 4 because it is red white and yellow. However when i did this the edge became grainy and pixelated. I then increased the number of colours to 8 and that sorted the problem and decreased the file size.

 We then named the new file "About" and we also changed the title from untitled document to "About" though if we were making an actual site to be put on the internet we change the title name to the name of the website so its easier to track on the internet. We also made two new files and changed the names to "Links" and "Contact" changing the title names accordingly. We looked at the coding window and how it changed when we changed things in the design window.

This is the code for the table we placed into the design window, you can get the table from insert at the top of the program and table, <td> is table down and there are three rows, when you type something or add an image into the table it changes the code, as you can see here I typed my name into the first box on the first row of the table and it changed the code corresponding to that box. We also created a new file and named it shop.

Research

Website size, and why it changes: Nearly all websites have a system set where is the site is dragged smaller it will shift into a smaller version of its self sometimes removing things like images so they can keep important information such as links, phone number and in some cases prices (eg. shops, spa's, rentals.)

layout via PC/mobile: the use of "Netflix" via computer and mobile the difference between the main layout is that the wording and pictures would be smaller which for some people may be hard to look hard unlike a computer where it is A-lot larger.

Some of the benefits of Netflix like hovering over a picture and it would give u information on the thing you are hovering over as-well as a star rating of if you would like it, although the
phone has the star rating it doesn't give you the 
information directly. 

the use out layout and color is used in an more effective way on the netflix website because it looks simple and userfriendly aswell as using simple colors with attractive people that could be passing through the site itself.

Groveshark : the main layout of the website is a collum based template with three basic tiles for the music they are trying to premote to the genral public for the use of their product althought it seems there is no profit involved.






Groveshark mobile : the mobile website uses a basic list program with the song title and artist which is linked directly to the playing section of the program althought it may be slow due to the vast amount of people that use and the limited data transfered on the mobile website itself.

Although google's page is very basic it is still very very popular, i beleave its this basic because of the colours but the birght colors catch the eye to a certain area for example in the center there is a large colorfull google symbol but just below is the search bar where most people would be attarcted to in the other areas there is a sign up or sign in area for more common google users and opions of what sort of content you would like to look at above.


Althought i was unable to get a mobile image of google on the mobile it is exsacly the same as the web broswer on the computer the only diffrence is the size of what you can see.

the playstation website consists of and wall of rfecently updates or things to go with the playstation games area aswell as adverts for  fornew products and things still to come in the future althiught the mobilew website is still similar it shows new and a basic search bar so it is easyer to get on with seaching while on the go although some images dont come up due to the format it is still a fast way of finding out something about the company or products in no time at all.
